Whittier Real Estate

Located in Denver’s historic district, Whittier real estate has long been coveted by local Denverites due to its unique architectural styles and storied history. The housing here is mainly comprised of early twentieth-century homes of craftsman architecture, and the neighborhood itself is seeing a large influx of interested new buyers. This historic area has remained relatively untouched by the gentrification of the surrounding neighborhoods, however, locals still have convenient access to the rest of the city light rail stations, I-70/25,  downtown, RiNo, and City Park.

Among other historic neighborhoods such as the Five Points, Whittier real estate is a long-standing symbol of urban progressivism. This small patch of the city with its low-key,  urban rhythms was named after John Greenleaf Whittier (1807-1892), the abolitionist poet. It was in Whittier that Denver saw new waves of progressivism take place, and now the neighborhood is undergoing another urban renaissance. Today, locals will find Whittier to be a charming, active community full of a variety of vibrant restaurants, cafes, and schools as well as beautiful historic homes.
